That's pretty low IMO actually. I always have a hard time keeping within the 100GB limit. Shouldn't the cost of bandwidth be  dirt cheap by now? With consumers downloading larger and larger files shouldn't the cap be raised signifficantly in the coming years? Things like Blu Ray and etc are making these caps obsolete.

 

 

Notice how that scenario you made really shows an increased demand. Demand = Profit.

Right now, everyone has like 100GB or something Download limit. In the future, people like your granny, who only check mail will pay one price, and people who download BR files or the like will pay more.
At the moment it isn't sure whether the granny will pay the normal price and you will pay a higher price, or you will pay the regular price and she will be a discounted price.

I'm guessing they will do the most profitable thing. Charge you more.
