Clearly not everyone knows it, which was why I felt it worth my while explaining it a little more fully. There's a reason I read OPM UK reviews, and it's not just that they are clearly targetted at my age-group: they are actually pretty good at informing me what is good and what is bad about an individual title. Yes, OPM UK is an 'official' magazine, but that does not mean their reviews are biased; Sony doesn't own the magazine, after all -- and if they were biased, I'm pretty sure the magazie would lose sales quickly, given the demographic it serves.

I'm not saying trust them (hell no, make your own mind up about individual games), but I am saying that they are almost always on the ball, and are harsher than many reviewers when one takes into account how their 1-10 scale is applied to Metacritic. Unless, it's SingStar, of course. We Brits appear to like that more than others. Especially if it involves Abba.
