And just like that the whole "Sony doesn't pay for exclusives" defence dies.

But lets get a few things straight. Columbia own the Ghostbusters franchise not Sony. Sony bought Columbia in 1989. 5 years after the 1st film was made.
Sony had nothing to do with Ghostbusters at all. They purchased the company who owns the license to it. They agreed to sell Zen Studios a license to create a game based on the franchise. With that comes no exclusivity deal at all to the parent company. As far as they are concerned they have been paid money for use of the license and have zero influence over what it is used for.
Roll on to today and Sony have had to pay cash to Atari to effectivley make it timed exclusive to the PS3.

So pretty much Sony have had to pay money to have exclusivity to a franchise from a company of which they own. Is there no wonder why Sony are getting battered financially if they make decisions like that?

Also it must be mentioned this only effects europe so it all seems rather stupid to me. Seems like a desperation move to me. I am a huge Ghostbusters fan. Even have a pre-order for the Blu-Ray version with the free ecto 1 key-ring. But the game looks shit, it was dropped by publishers for a reason so i expect it to bomb. Which again will just make Sony look even more stupid if that happen's.

lol, i'm speechless. i guess even 5y old kids can manage one of the biggest corporation better than its Bosses.
