A $200 price wouldn't be out of the question, by 2012 the technology will be really cheap,I mean it's the first time sony will launcha console with the same basic procesor and disc drive (Wii anyone?)as the previous generation and I think Sony will turn a 180 and make it cheap and affordable from the start, even if they have to sell it at a loss again.

 

Yes, yes it would be out  of the question. The PS3 may still have SKUs at or above $200 by 2012... there's no way a new system would launch at that price.
