IGN does not represent the entire game reviewing community. You can't just sit there and take IGN's reviews as fact to show a decline in the series because there are plenty of other reviewers with differing opinions. You also left out GH: Metallica, which actually scored comparably on IGN with GHIII. I wouldn't expect you to actually disprove your own point though, so I'm sure you felt you had no choice but to leave it out in the hopes people forgot it released a little over a month ago.
One member in a single thread is anecdotal nonsense. It can't even qualify as anecdotal evidence, it's so weak. Get a stronger argument.
It isn't "only full band support". Not everybody got into the game to play guitar. Some of us actually do vocals, bass or the drums, so being able to play older goodies with the instruments of our choice is a welcome addition. If you are someone that primarily plays guitar, then obviously this might not be for you. Then again, anyone saying "only with some full band support upgrade" is probably playing too much GH by himself and not in a social atmosphere. That may be fine for others, but many(including myself) only enjoy playing the games in a social environment with others. GH, GHII, GHIII, GH: Aerosmith and GH: Rock the 80's are useless to me.
Again about Madden, if you don't play the series and are only spitting tired cliched lines from other members, than I suggest you stop being a parrot and start getting your own opinions.
