Hating a cultural icon is understandable but hating a job profession is... odd. 

Did you have a bad experience with one in your childhood perhaps.  Maybe your parents called one over when you were very young and he scared you or showed you something that scared you.  Or perhaps, was your father or other relative a plumber?  This could be some deep-seated animosity toward that relative that your projecting onto poor Mario.

Either way, you should not hate Mario for your own mental personality disorders.
