Unfortunately Jagged, this is what company is forced to do when they are publicly traded. Microsoft has been dogged for years that they are bloated and need to get rid of people, which is really sad because Live division has been profitable, least of which from the results of hiring and having talented people.
Look at the last few months, Xbox Live released schedules, certification, and stuff they put up on Live has been a complete mess because they trim so much man-powers from sadly the area that are actually growing.
