XBLA games don't have demos until the game is actually released (before HD Remix is even mentioned, it was a Beta they used to test their horrible net-code that doesn't need testing now because they know it sucks). Most likely they just had something ready, couldn't really release it on XBLA and somebody at Sony may have politely asked and they just decided to release it. A MVC2 is still coming out for XBLA, it's just coming out when the game is released sometime this summer.
