the game has an ending.

 

the dlc is additional storyline that continues after the ending and allows you to continue playing after the ending.

 

This is actually right. The game does end and has an ending. They could have released no DLC at all and we would've been happy with the ending.

Please don't pirate games. The game industry is very shaky right now and that won't help at all. Luckily Bethsda is one of the few game developers finding success right now.
