No, it's because Matt sold out and made it more like family guy- all quick interchangeable jokes that have nothing to do with the plot. The show simply lost it's comedy, and even it's heart.
Then, he followed up by screwing futurama. One of my favorite shows. Seriously, watch the older episodes of futurama and The simpsons and you can actually see what I mean. But no, I'm just somebody who has never been a fan of the show, I don't own all of the futurama seasons on dvd (including the "movies"), and I don't own seasons 1-9 of the simpsons.

Seriously, the only animation "domination" show worth watching anymore for me is king of the hill, which is ending soon. That show hasn't lost it's charm the entirety it's been on the air.
