I really don't know anything about economics, but I do pose a question. What good is it if we just let corporate greed run its course and carry on like business as usual by leaving the tax loopholes as it is? In the end, isn't letting the rich get richer and the poor get poorer a way of eliminating competition in its own ways?

The use of the bolded catch phrases prove the claim of the italicized words.

Anyway... Obama's words arent exactly wise. But they make his base happy... and what politician worth his existence would care about things like liberty and the constitution when they could make their base happy?

Lol, I have been burned. I admit, as much as I pride myself in being a Renaissance man, the economy is my weak point. I don't know what is the best road to fix the economy's problem.

I do know, however, that we have been through this before. We had passed laws to prevent such a case as well, and never had a problem like this until present day. It is because we decided to repeal the laws, since the Clinton years, due to arrogance and greed, that has cause this depression. Taking out the Glass-Steagall Act was one of the mistakes we made...thinking we know better now compared to back than accounts for our arrogance, while performing the act accounts for our greed. Of course, like I said before, I'm a neophyte when it comes to economics.
