Why did the media switch from neutrality during PS2 days to overnight near universal bias overnight.
What are you talking about, the PS2 was abused by media early on. With some stories you could nearly copy & paste them, replace PS2 with PS3 and DVD with Blu-Ray and voila you have a modern opinion piece.
It's just that the PS2 sales skyrocketed and thus naysayers would have looked to ridiculous to continue on that road. Later on there was plenty of XBox vs PS2 propaganda.
