If Killzone 2 can move hardware, God of War III can move hardware.

It's from a popular series with a pretty hardcore following and relatively large fanbase. And (anecdotal data ftw!) everyone I know who owned God of War either owns a PS3 already (like me) or intends to buy one soon.

The thing is that the effect won't be that visible, because it won't be a huge one week bump (like MGS4), it's a prolonged effect that's lasted pretty much since the PS3's launch.

Killzone 2 is a FPS which is a very popular genre. God of War is a button mashing hack n slash and that genre isn't very popular. The series has also sold less and less with each release. I'm sure it'll get solid sales but it won't do a great job moving hardware.
