LOL....you obviously haven't used the new apple. The standard quality is worlds above the Vaio. The Vaio is in a league with Toshiba and Compaq. If he wants a standard computer, the apple is one of the best choices right now.

 

we have my mother have one,the thing have a crack! , though i never owned a vaio either but their screens are awesome and carbon fiber = WIN,  i got a HP pavilion dv 2000 thats its crappy  also.
