I think Citing Mario RPG would have been a better example.... And I don't think that FFVII should be blamed for any type of saturation...If anything the success of the PS1 and the N64's lesser format are to blame....It's easy to ignore the many great Sega Console RPG's when the limelight of the time was on the PS1 and on the Super Nintendo before that..
