But you see, the guy made the cut-scenes closely resemble the original. However, it was Kojima who rejected them and asked for them to be more over the top.
Not only that, we also have some of the stuff that happens in MGS4 (such as Meryl and Johnny *shutters*).
If it's more like MGS3, then I wouldn't mind it as much because I really enjoyed the cut-scenes in that game.
