Don't really get any of their decisions. Almost as if they are afraid to compete with the conduit.

Cell-shaded would undoubtedly mean less sales.

No online/no multiplayer definitely means less sales.

So why make those decisions? Are they only concerned with making the game the developers want which is well received in terms of reviews even though not such a great commercial success (like No More Heroes and Madworld, yes I know No More Heroes is their best selling game and bla bla but it would have sold more with better graphics and Madworld would have sold more if it was in color).

That doesn't strike me as the Ubisoft I know. The cynic in me is that they want the game to be a commercial failure so that they can be justified in saying mature games don't sell on Wii so they will stick to Rayman, Petz and Babby Sittaz.

Of course they could have decided to take a risk the way Nintendo took a risk with the Wii and hope it pays off big time by drawing in both those who would have bought it if it had realistic graphics and just love action games and those who would have had no interest if it had realistic graphics. However, I doubt this is the case. There is no way the graphics will not be a cause of reduced sales. Even if it sells 2 million I am pretty sure it would have sold 4 million with realistic graphics.

The cynic in you is silly as a company wouldn't invest time and money to create a flop on purpose. That would be insane. They want it to be a success.
