| Garamond said: You may be able to look past its faults, but I can't. Some of them are just too glaring for me to even think of it as a Suikoden game. It was decent enough for me to put the time to play through it once, but it really doesn't compare to the quality of the other games in the series at all (unless you want to include Tactics, but even then I vastly prefer Tactics over IV and that may just be because I'm a bigger fan of SRPGs on the whole). The main character is cooler than Thomas, though. But then again, I think everybody is cooler than Thomas. Especially those squirrels. |
That's totally undeniable. If every Suikoden is a 9 and above, Tactics getting around an 8, then IV gets a 7 or 7.5
Thomas is meant to be the most uncool and plain Tenkai ever. I think they did it to reinforce the fact that he really is a nobody. At least he's not the "main character".
Mukumuku and its siblings rule!
