How do smokers not know they smell so bad?

My smoking friends would give me crap for being a drunk, but I don't recall doing any secondhand drinking, where I'd pour a drink and the liquid would float around the room and go into everybody's mouths and stink up their hair and clothes.

I have tons of vices, and keep them to my body.
