What exactly was wrong with Final Fantasy 12?

2 things in my opinion that didn't give it a real "final fantasy" feel.

1- The main character was forgettable and didn't have much charisma.

2- There was no love element to the story. There was not Cloud/Aeirth, Squall/Rinoa, Zidane/Garnet, Tidus/Yuna.
