I rather have unique race car than 10 variations of Nissan Skyline. The only thing I find lacking for Forza 2 (after months of playing) was the lack of tracks. I was hoping for DLC of more tracks but when they arrived (2 to be exact) they weren't intergrate into the game.
I would love to see something like Championship series in Race Pro where you get variety of racing but you have to stick to one type of cars just as you would if you drive for a team.
The cockpit view is just eye candy as they are a pain in the butt to drive in (unless you have really giant screen(s) and sit up close to it). I find sitting 10 feet away from the monitor while in cockpit view to take away that immersion and thus prefer the bonnet cam view. (though I can see if you have 360 hook up to monitor). For me it's nice to have but I would rather have they model 10 more tracks than bunch of dashboard.
One thing I do find to be a nice compromise is what PGR4 and TD did is that have the speedormeter model after the real car style while you in bonnet cam or bumper cam. It help give nice illusion of driving in different car but not force you to look out small little area of your monitor.
