As I understand, they've only ever shown off GTAIV on a 360 because it had more polish than the PS3 version. I believe there was an article about it, that the PS3 was behind development by about two weeks. I'll see if I can find the article. |
They only ever showed the 360 version of GTA IV because that was part of the deal with MS. Only 3 aspects of that deal have been made public. 1. Exclusive DLC. 2. Day and date release with PS3. 3. 360 version used for display. |

That is why I pointed out the earlier rumour that Take 2 were trying to negotiate their way out of that part of the deal in the first post. We also don't know any of the clauses in the deal.
