Considering it's not only Wii but also happened in the past I'd say the problem is Nintendo itself.
Either by consuming huge part of market with their first party games or the problem might lie in company policy and terms it offers to other publishers.
Or it can be combination of both.
Anyway I don't mind the less reasons to spend 250$ the better :)
