Honestly, let me first say that I HIGHLY doubt that Sony will do this...they are already being written off from winning this "console war" by some due to the high price and low sales.
Second of all, the only reason they are being considered eventual victors is due to the, imho, silly notion that the "hardcore" will all rally and push the PS3 with their monies to become the number one console. It is already understood that the PS3 is still in this race for the obvious appeal to the core gamers.
Now, people are expecting that Sony, in a desperate attempt to grab the attention of the casuals, are going to push away the core gamers (who already made a commitment to not get any legit motion controls) just get a few thousand casuals who aren't enthralled by the Wii? Despite Sony already losing money? C'mon....I know there are people who want nothing but Sony to do not only well but demolish the competition, but at least make some sense...
And if this is true, I will take back what I said about them not doing the motion controls...but I will still stand by my statement that this is a baaaad move...
