i think its more of the fanboys more than anything that want these two games to go multiplatform People want these games to be multiplatform. They don't like PS3, they don't want to spend money on a PS3. Anyone other than Sony's marketing department particularly surprised?

No, fanboys would want the game to fail on the PS3. People who just want multiplatform just might want it for HONESTLY not being able to afford both systems (and could you blame them). It strikes me as fanboyism, to insist wanting those games on other system can ONLY be fanboyism.

thats why you have to make the right choices in buying a console...if i knew i could only afford one system and my favorite game of all time is Gran turismo... but i decide to get a 360... why would i scream for GT5 to go multiplatform??? i made that choice so i would have to stick with that choice..

LAst I checked, GT was FIRST PARTY. Of course you have to get a Playstation to get that. But don't you dare pretend that FF games or MGS games have to be Playstation games.

If you look at the inverse, Sony fanboys aren't asking for Halo. They are asking for third party games, such as Dead Rising and Bioshock. It can't be to hurt the 360, since those games already helped the system, so it could be they just honestly want some good games from other systems.

Plus your comment about sticking with choices shows a total ignorance of gaming publishing history.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
