Interesting... from what I've played of the original Front Mission, wasn't it like Shining Force or Fire Emblem, but with robots? That was turn based SRPG.

Yeah that's what all the old ones were like.

Real time SRPG.  I'd guess it'd be more like Mechwarrior.

Your pilots level up and get skills, you can upgrade your mechs, give them new armor.  Give you multiple squad control...

If it does end up being like Mechwarrior, anything close to the awesomeness that was Mechwarrior 3...
