Interesting... from what I've played of the original Front Mission, wasn't it like Shining Force or Fire Emblem, but with robots? That was turn based SRPG.

Couldn't real time SRPG also be like Last Remnant?

Yeah that's what all the old ones were like.

Real time SRPG.  I'd guess it'd be more like Mechwarrior. 

Your pilots level up and get skills, you can upgrade your mechs, give them new armor.  Give you multiple squad control...
