I don't see why is No More Heroes an example of a unsuccessful 3rd party game. Wasn't there a big party @ Grasshoppers studio when they've hit 400k ? And isn't it their best selling title to date? And isn't NMH2 on the way?
Currently i'm only worried about Little King's story sales, because the game deserves much more.
And, no marketing = no money. Give examples for third party games one PS360 which managed to get the sales NMH has, and were: new IP, had little to no advertising, hardcore games.
