GT3 released on 12m and its succesor took over when PS2 was hitting 60m, first post in the thread kid.

2 - a $40 DEMO out sold Forza2 in Europes even with 360 user base being more then PS3s, Sony may have lost ground but looks like it has no affect on GT there.  My opinion based on numbers.

 

 

 

I think you completely missed what I was saying, kid.

Yes, GT4 released to the 60million userbase but that doesn't mean it sold all the copies day one (or even year one).  It worked its way up to its current amount and that's because the PS2 sold more than 100 million units.

There's this concept of legs and that game has them.

So previous GTs sold over time but the new one wont ? this foolish mentality is similar to the opinios of previous GTs selling only casue user base increased and foolishly implying PS3s user base wont grow at all.

Are you saying GT5 wont sale for a long time ? ohh i get PS3 is doomed by 2010 right lol.  Or maybe GT6 will come out 1 year after GT5 ??? maybe PS4 by late 2010 ?

By the way dont see how GT5 is more like GT3 and not GT4 ? being they are both the first GT of its gen and both will sale to the more hardcore gamers/early adopters not the casuals that come later in a consoles life ?
