It's not an end-of-days pandemic that kills everyone. There are 600+ cases in the USA, and 0 deaths of Americans. Any respectable country (ie, first world) will easily be able to contain and combat this flu. Because thats what it is: flu.

If this was a more easily spread SARS, we may have a problem. But all this is, is a different flu strain. Even under worst-case scenarios, where the flu is not contained for 2 years...We may have 300 million deaths. That's hardly a dent in the world population.

 

And think, the next time you're standing in line, you can thank the swine flu for making it that much shorter.
