I wouldn't go that way. While they might be good intro games, she's a doctor... Play up to her cerebral nature. Maybe a game like Braid (maybe a bit much initially) or a few rounds of Carasconne (sp?) with you would be fun.

Honestly, I think going with a few of the simple Wii games first is the way to go but cut them off if she doesn't like them right off. It's a GREAT intro to videogames. Then, after that, sit her down and play a few challenging games with her (but don't opt for single player portables right off the bat). I think it's important to help her/watch her play games for a bit, even if you're not actually participating. On a DS, that won't happen. The key word here is "inclusion".
