As much as I love Forza and think it's superior in many respects to the GT series, anyone who thinks Forza 3 will be graphically on par with GT5 is insane. Polyphony has always had some of the finest looking games around (which is why they take so bloody long to release).

Still, this game should have been out a year ago. Sony is giving Polyphony too much leeway and GT5 could have been a difference maker last holiday season. To think that we still don't even know if they're adding damage to the game is insane...

I don't think anyone is saying Forza 3 will look better because it WON'T, not a chance but where it matters (gameplay, features and physics) most people that have played Forza know it will be a lot better than GT5 just like Forza 2 was rated higher than GT5: Prologue and GT4 in 90% of reviews and on the average metacritic scores,

It's been mentioned many times before, the only reason GT5 is going to do well it because of the NAME nothing else, most people would have given up on a game that takes this long to release, it's only because it has the name and being PS3's only real savior, if GT5 can't turn the tide for the PS3 NOTHING will and this is the sad truth that even sony fans know deep down but will never admit!

I didn't say others thought Forza would look better but I recall someone saying it could look similar to GT5 (which it won't).

GT:5p had some redeeming qualities to it in amazing graphics, in-car perspective, and online numbers per race (though not that important to anyone who has witnessed the typical mayhem involved in an 8-man Forza pub race).

What it boils down to is the features that were left out of GT:5p. Damage, car selection, options, and customization are where Forza beats it handily. If Polyphony doesn't deliver in all those areas when this game releases (as they should after these ridiculous delays), the game will be a failure in my eyes.

If they do deliver, though... Wow. The potential is huge.

Totally agree!
