GT selling 15M on a system that hit over 120M was a great feat, but that was when it had no real competition.

When GT5 is released, it will be competing with Forza 3 (which will probably have been released before GT5) and be selling on a system with a much lower installed base than the PS2.

I'm guessing that without bundling, it'll do 4-5M sales. The GT series is losing steam. I have been through every GT made to 100% compeltion but I am at the point no that I don't even care if GT5 comes out. While I wait for that for what seems an eternity I played Forza 2 and now I see no reason at all to go back or remain excited for a game that doesn't exist yet.

Alot of the people that bought that $40 demo were more than a little dissapointed the game hadn' evolved in any way besides from a visual standpoint.

I though i had taken care of that, GT3 never had the benefit of selling to a 120m user base.

Best selling Forza is on prologues level sales wise, if Forza really were serious comp it would have hurt GT5p sales right ? but it failed to do that.  Seriously if Forza can't even hurt a $40 GT "demo" do you really think it will do much to the full GT5 ?  Even if it really is true comp (i dont see it as) GT5p out sold Forza 2 in Europe while Japan simply don't care about it, the precident has already been set.  The only market it has any chance of hurting GT5 in any way is NA, where a minority of GTs sales come from these days.

GT losing steam come on, GT5p sales cant be dissmissed no matter how much any one tries.  Look at Grid sales 700k PS3 87 metascore (Forza2 got 90) its a high quality game and released on PS3 yet its sales comapred to a "demo" do tell me a hell of alot as it should tell you.  GT still is te premier racer.
