Yeah...motive is to get PSP awareness back in the West. Because PSP sales are just bad over here.

Well, they own 9% of SE but they can't do anything...I guess it's better than to let it go. I think they get a (VERY SMALL) portion of SE revenue though. But 9% isn't enough to influence games.

Yeah, their just the third highest stockholder in the company. Complete small frys.

I've had this argument before...

Why does 3rd highest or whatever matter? What if someone was the 3rd highest in another company but owned only 0.03% of them for example?

That number shouldn't matter at all...percents should. And they don't have a big enough percent to influence anything, otherwise so many series wouldn't have jump to other systems.

Because size is relative. 9% is a very large part of SE's revenue due to the fact that they the 3rd highest out of all stockholders. I'm not saying they choose where the games go, but don't undermine it.

They have zero power.

The 1st, 2nd, and 4th biggest stockholders are all really one guy.  The former Enix boss.

Also they don't have 9%.  They had less then that after the merger.  Plus SE just took over Eidos.

I gotta think there was stock involved in that deal.

Hard to find info though do to the general stupidness of the internet with 5 million blogposts stating "SE and Eidos agree to terms!"  Without linking to the terms and using other blog posts that say the same thing as a source.

I hate blogs sometimes.  Everyone with a myspace and who has mastered copy and paste thinks they're a journalist.
