The different was pretty obvious in the hair part. Were you looking at the images in full size? (most browsers crop it to the window size unless you zoom in)

True a part of the eye is a bit shinier, but that hardly counts as more detail, probably just a coincidence.

I looked at it really closely now and it's pretty obvious the non-scaled version is slightly sharper. It still doesn't mean it's running in native 1080p though, since they didn't disclose what upscaling method they used to make the scaled image.

Anyway the site says this is just for some cutscenes and during gameplay and short cutscenes it's always 720p.
