Halo 3 or Metal Gear Solid 4. Which is the greatest/most influential game.

Don't know about Halo 3, but MGS4 was incredible.

That said, I think the first iterations of both franchises (MGS for the PSX and Halo: CE for the XB) will be remembered the most because, well, they were the first.
