No, Sony fans point out a game like KZ2 and say that "It's graphically superior", and not that the game itself is superior (which is based on other things like GAMEPLAY).
Here all Sony fans are saying that MAG's not so ugly to burn out an eye, and that they don't think that the game itself is going to be bad due to it's graphics.
If Sony fans made a aggresive thread on the MS forum saying "KZ2 is a superior game than [insert Halo, GeoW, etc] because of it's superior graphics" then yes they are being hipocrites.
However, for the majority of the time, all Sony either did was tout the graphics of KZ2 or say that KZ2's graphics was better than [insert MS game here]. Again, not about the game itself.
Now in this thread, someone said that the graphics in MAG were HORRIBLE. Which Sony fans replied "No" (I don't think anyone said that GeoW wasn't beautiful during its time), along with that they're more focused on the gameplay. There's nothing hypocritical about that.
