There is still a lot of information about the flu in Mexico and the flu that has spread to other countries. Considering this is an influenza virus, there is probably little chance of containing it, but depending on the severity of this virus the actual death toll could be minimal.
I agree with NJ5, the deaths thus far have not shown similar signs to that of Spanish flu, where the deaths were mostly isolated to young health adults, IMO which would be a more serious problem.
