I wonder when it dawned on Sony that the PSP was wasting away in the west and with a little push could sell big numbers again. Ah no idea but it really does look likely this E3 will be centered around the PSP especially with so many PS3 games already announced.
It could be possible if Sony thought "in stead of cutting the PS3 price by $100 a better investment would be spending that money on the PSP." People seem to forget so quickly that Sony has 2 consoles on the market, PSP with the games coming and the obvious addition support beat the 360 and PS3 weekly soon. It has been doing the numbers it is doing with no games on note releasing, games will only help.
