Seamless virtualization is also available in VMWare workstation 6.5 for Windows and Linux hosts. I only use VMWare on a Mac laptop, so I just reported my personal experience first-hand.
As for the cost, it won't come for free in Windows 7 either, as you'll have to upgrade to at least the Professional edition for this feature, from the Home Premium that will be the default.
It's a nice addition that enterprises have been asking MS for years now. Just not better than a third party solution unless the seamless integration runs really deep. As I said, I wait for more details.
