This should be a dream come true for retail. If Sony goes to the a system were retailers give out codes to get games it is a complete win situation. Retail will not even have to have stock. They can just have cards like Toys'r'us used to do, and customers will have codes activated when they scan the card at the regester.

lol yeah that makes sense until people realize that you dont have to drive/tram/fly/swim to get these "cards", all you have to do is log onto the online store forgoing all need of retail.

trust me. retailers are scared,,, especially gamestop and gamecrazy..

Or retailers could just NOT stock the PSP2. Retailers don't make much money from Hardware sales by themselves, they make most of their money from game sales/accessories anyway, so if they are no game sales (direct download only), then some places might just use the space for another system(console/handheld) instead.

retailers dont have the power to not stock a console if it doesnt seem fit to them.

as soon as the big companies start advertising the people will go look for them.

and guess what?

if they dont find them at gamestop or gamecrazy they will at wal-mart.

they is no combating what companies want from thier machines..

although i think digital distibution only machines should be held off for two more years there is no doubting that

DL Games is the only future.

*edit*

and online shopping is becoming huge!!!

nintendo, Sony, Microsoft could just sell thier coonsoles online..

sure it woont have as strong a penatration as it being sold in retail but eventually it will get there

hello how are you.
