I am not talking about taxes to run the country. I am talking about entitlements. Funds that are given away as apposed to funds that are spent.

And we can debate if you think intellectual property can be owned or not, but the way the law reads today, we have copy write laws to protect intellectual property. Consuming it without paying for it if one chooses to charge for it, is stealing. Any way you slice it.

Then why can I listen to the radio?  Am I not consuming that intellectual property?  What's the difference?

The Radio station buys an ASCAP license, and each radio station submits there rotation cycles. ASCAP then determines how much of the fees collected go to each artist.

So the radio station did pay to play it.

I'm well aware of this.  However,  to the consumer it's all the same.  The idea of not paying to listen to music has been around for quite sometime.  Whether it is copying audio tapes or burning CDs.
