You don't have to use the glitch to get all 100 spare parts, but it's a lot easier than trying to find them yourself (I got all 100 with the help of some maps online). And yes, prepare for a lot of potential glitches, since the game is very buggy, especially some of the trophies.
I am getting close to platinum for Fallout 3, and I'll have probably another platinum too, since Gamefly sent me Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection today.
