Really? The person who copied the Miis says they didn't copy it? Will wonders never cease. 

You said it was a pattented idea before Miis. This is not what your links say. Your links are Rare saying "Nuh-uh! It was our idea! So there!"

 

 omg Microsoft created a Virtual Self... and they did it by copying off of the Mii which itself is a copy off of the last avatar based system... all the way back till the first time you could make a character the looked like yourself or whatever for a game.
