if E3 is a dissapointment for your "console of choice" would you jump ship?

I've stayed on board with Nintendo after many fair-weather fans abandoned her, and lo, i have reaped the rich rewards

 

But seriously, i'm surprised people put as much stock in E3 as they do. Awesome show, but not the be-all and end-all its made out to be.
