This is actually very simple; if you need to justify your purchase of a console, then don't buy it. When the price of said system outweighs your hesitation, you will purchase it without fuel from VGChartz posters.
For example, I can easily afford a PS3, but I don't have one yet for similar reasons to yours for not owning a 360. There will come a time when the number of games it has that I want to play increase it's value (TO ME) over whatever the price of the console is a that time, and when that happens I will buy one.
If this is just an attempt however, at trying to get 360 owners to validate their purchase based upon announced upcoming games....well then I'm sorry I took the time to post.
