Sweet they sell really well on ebay... the refined part though? I never had a PS3 a year ago so maybe things have changed sine then my PS3 is a lot quiter than my 360, and it dosent have that big power converter visable. Although the consoles are about the same size and shape I would have to pick Sony as the more refined version. Controllers are abouyt the same in my book X box cradels and has triggers like the Sega Dream.. and Sony controller has always fit nicley. X box live however does surpass PSN but then again they put a lot more time into it Sony just kind of put theres together recently. |
I am not one to care about system noise, cosmetics...etc...controllers do the job on both consoles but the 360 controller is better for FPS games I find.
The experience on the 360 I find is more seemless. Whats up with instals of demos after downloads and manditory installs of games? Some live games (like Mortal Kombat 2) don't support vocie chart and have broken leaderbaords out fo the box. Matchmaking in some other games was panfully laggy... and I am not talking about games that sony has dedicated servers for but 3rd party games...
All in all I can see how PS3 can appeal to someone, but for someone like me that had an xbox 360 since early 2006, it felt like a downgrade back when I tried PS3 last year. They may have changed things since...but so has the 360 with the NXE...
All in all, both offer pretty similar games and PS3 has some nice exclusives this year so one really cant go wrong with a purchase of either.
