Is COD4 still active? If I have spare cash and it's cheap, I might try it. But, I actually love being part of a small picture. It adds to the suspense of disbelief, and the feeling that you are a lone soldier in a huge war, and the only way to surivive and win is to cooperate. If the maps are big, and the spawns are spread out enough, then the max player shouldn't be an issue. On the other hand, my friend keeps telling me how he loves to spam grenades when he spawns and get a random kill. I remember doing that on Socom when I played my PS2 XD

Small maps/small players vs. Big maps/large player size. Both seem equal to me. Snipers could be a big issue though.

I loved BF: BC, and I really want a game like that. BC 2 looks really appealing, but MAG has finally won me over. I'll wait till E3 though, so hopefully all 3 games will be featured.

COD4 is very active. There isn't a single time of any day you can't find active matches on any game type. Even if you play at 5AM, you'll get plenty of people playing. I would really recommend you give it a shot, even if it's just a rental to start with. I have a good feeling you'll like it.

You'll have to bargain hunt for a cheap copy if you want to purchase it though. The game still retails for $59.99.
