You are going into a profession to practice law when you clearly have no use for it.
Your premise, is it’s ok to break a law if the lawbreaker feels justified.
Why have laws?

It's what HD Thoreau taught, and he is still taught in college lit courses as one of the most important American thinkers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civil_Disobedience_(Thoreau

That is a great injustice to Thoreau.
Civil Disobedience is only to be used in a case of extreme injustice.
Not. "I don't like this law so i'm going to ignore it."
It's "This law is fundamentally wrong."

Who came up with the idea that there was anything wrong in the first place?
|
A statement completely immaterial to Thoreau.
Besides, Thoreau was anti-government in general. Akuma is pro big government. I doubt he gets his moral guidence from Thoreau.
Guy was as hardline a libretarian as you'll ever find.

Are you kidding me, I love Thoreau! He's so funny. Very inspiring guy.

Odd... considering he'd have a lot more in common with... well just about anyone else.
I mean. He would actually agree with Mafoo's point about taxes. Thoreau thinking taxes should be optional... and paying taxes during an unjust war makes you just as culpable as the people out there shooting innocents.
He'd probably very much like Mafoo's tax plan of "picking what you fund".
