Yeah, too early. I don't see with how current 1080/720p TVs are selling now, and the huge tidal wave of sales that'll come when the economy recovers (huge low prices+old models+cash in pocket) that it'll be necessary for this disk to be used for movies.
I hope that the Nin/Sony/MS will look into this though! Although I don't see it going next gen at all. I hope Sony just creates a beefed up version of the PS3 with Bluray next gen. instead of starting over from scratch.
I can't imagine what games/movies will look like the future though O.o
